Fighting Words: Books That Shaped the Postcolonial World (Peter Lang, 2017).

I am currently working with Dr Dominic Davies and Dr Erica Lombard (Oxford) on an edited collection which explores the global and transnational impact of books as agents of imperial resistance during the twentieth century.

An interdisciplinary project uniting historians and literary scholars this collection will enhance our understanding of the global and transnational dynamics of book history.

Fighting Words: Books That Shaped the Postcolonial World will be published by Peter Lang in late-2016.

I am contributing one of two Australian chapters to the book, a study of the Gurindji walk off of 1966, the associated book The Unlucky Australians by the author Frank Hardy, and the impact of that book in Australia and overseas.
